Tis A Dark and Stormy Night | Episode 78 | The Crafty Boys

Image
It was a dark and stormy evening when we reviewed the Whistler Brewing's Dark and Stormy Ale (with ginger!) -- well, actually, it wasn't. We had trouble finding this seasonal beer and it took us a bit of time to all get it. But what did we think of it? Ding Dong The Silence Is Dead | Episode 54

Image
We tried not to talk during this episode because the beer told us not to. Once we broke the curse, we talked a lot about tasty it was. Dave did try to drink the whole thing in one swig of his bottle but a few bears burst through his floor and stripped him of his clothing. He hid under his desk for the episode.

Big Draft of the Genuine Kind | Episode 46

Image
Number forty six hits back at the Alberta Brewing industry with a chat fest about their Alberta Genuine Draft. We talk about beer, beer taxes, and beer and yoga. How could that not be cool? Beer and yoga at the same time? So much better than beer tax. Take that, Alberta. We're keeping our beer and drinking at our own yoga-based breweries. Dave thought that taxes on beer was a terrible reality and decided to jump into the mouth of a nearby bear.

The Sweetness of The Porter | Episode 44

Image
Episode forty five is the latest in the crazy time for our podcast. Still recovering from the excitement that was the holidays, we dive into seemingly everything that has been going on in the news so much so that we almost forget to talk about beer. How is that possible? How strange is that? We do eventually hop into a great Milk Stout by Ninkasi with a special appearance by Ninkasi Sleigh'r -- both are amazing. Dave thought he heard us say "slayer" -- so, he thought a Bear Slayer was going to appear to help him out. Turns out, that isn't a thing.

The Sweetness of The Porter | Episode 44

Image
Episode forty four tells the tale of how a vanilla bean and a porter had a raunchy love child. Brought to us by Mill Street Brewery, they have made a tasty beer that we think will last not just for the last few years but for the next few centuries. We like it. It is yummy and you need to stop reading this and go out and get some. Dave was nervous about the status of Mill Street so he wandered much too close to a large stack of sticks that contained bears.
